Why thank you SERIAL KILLER DEAN. What a fantastic thing to say to make your angel pal feel better. Nothing better than joking around about KILLING PROSTITUTES (oh hey remember that time you brought Cas TO A WHOREHOUSE?), especially since in Bible canon one of Jesus’ best gal pals was a hooker?

Not THE Whore, which, while still horrible, was technically what the monster was called, not A MONSTER but, On a good day you get to kill a whore.

This line is- hands down- my least favorite.

A fucking horrible line to round out what should have been one of the best episodes in season five. I fast-forward my way through it every single time, it makes me feel dirty.

Someone punch whoever wrote that line in the face.

I mean really, men bonding over violence against women. Just… ugh, fuck this, I’m going to read some fluffy fluff fic to get the bad taste out of my mouth.

I have already made one post about how much I hate this line but since it keeps going around with shockingly few people pointing out how horrendously awful this scene is I am happy to do it again (I’m not really happy. I’m having a shitty day).

Like, for real, I’m assuming that these scripts get read over multiple times by multiple people, and yet the result of that process was that this exchange was okayed?

On a good day you get to kill a monster would have been fine, even, like Ros said, On a good day you get to kill The Whore, which is still not really okay but at least better than this crap.

UGH. I know Dean is supposed to have his issues and be a bit of an asshole sometimes and is overall not the most enlightened guy but this is so beyond that. This is some serious woman-hating shit.
